Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed the use of VAR system (Video Assistant Referee) for all matches, including injury time, based on the actual stop time in the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 at Doha, Qatar.

At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, one more team (4th place) will compete in the intercontinental play-off round against Guinea U23 national team, the 4th ranked team from Africa, in the AFC-CAF Play-off on 9 May 2024 at the French national football center in Clairefontaine, France.
