Uzbekistan U20 national team qualified to World Cup fifth time in history after wins Australia U20 national team by penalties shoot-out with a score of 5-4 after tie in 120 minutes 2-2 in the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2023 Quarter-Final at Bunyodkor Stadium, Tashkent.
Uzbekistan U20 appeared to kick off from the start of the first round. Ravshan Khaydarov’s fleet played confidently to launch a massive attack on the Australian U-20 defense.
Even so, some of the opportunities that the home team got could not be put to good use.
On the other hand, Australia U20 also doesn’t want to be silent. They played with discipline and implemented a counter-attack scheme.
Entering the final minutes of the first half, Uzbekistan U20 continued to look for goals with a series of speculative shots.
However, the effort was not enough to tear the Australian U20 goal. In the end, the first half ended 0-0.
Continuing into the second round, Uzbekistan U20 immediately stepped on the gas. However, again, Australia U20 is disciplined in maintaining defense.
In the middle of the second half, Australia U20 played bolder to dominate. Jed Drew had several golden opportunities to score the opening goal.
