Terengganu FC (TFC) is determined to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the ASEAN Club Championship, also known as the Shopee Cup 2024/25.
The crucial Group A decider will see them face BG Pathum United in an intense away match tomorrow night.
TFC operator Badrul Afzan Razali remains optimistic about the team’s chances despite acknowledging the challenge ahead.
“We have the opportunity to advance to the semi-finals, and we can’t just let it go,” Badrul Afzan emphasized. “That dream can only be achieved by obtaining a positive result in the final action tomorrow night, even if it’s on the opposing field.”
TFC currently holds second place in Group A with seven points, tied with Indonesia’s PSM Makassar FC in third. Group leaders BG Pathum United from Thailand lead by a narrow margin with eight points.
Despite BG Pathum’s sixth-place standing in the Thai Premier League, they have proven to be formidable opponents throughout the Shopee Cup campaign. Terengganu will need a strong performance to surpass their rivals and keep their championship dreams alive.
