Selangor FC is examining and studying all appropriate channels to take further action following the punishment imposed by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) against the club.
Selangor FC was just sanctioned by MFL to be fined RM100,000(which money will be donated to a charity to be decided later) and deducted 3 points in Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25.
The club explained that they are aware of the MFL’s decision regarding the case of the Red Giants ‘not attending’ the Sumbangsih Cup match which is also the first action of the Super League, last May 10.
“For information, the club applied for the postponement of the match after the criminal case of acid attack against Faisal Halim last May 5 and several other incidents involving national football players, but the application was rejected.” the club said in a statement.
“Therefore, the club is examining and studying all appropriate channels to take further action,”
