Dion Cools, Defender of Malaysia national team from Buriram United, admits the match against Kyrgyzstan tomorrow is a ‘life and death’ mission for the national team in the way of FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers.
Although, Malaysia is facing injury problems after 7 players were absent by injury before the match.
For that reason, Cools sees the national squad ready to give the best performance to win tomorrow.
“I think the whole team knows the importance of this match, so the will and focus (of the players) was evident during training,” Cools said in the pre-match press conference.
“So, it is very important that we are physically and mentally prepared for this match because we know this is a life and death mission for us.”
FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group D Matchday 5 between Kyrgyz Republic national team and Malaysia national team will held on 6 June 2024 at 11.00 pm.(Malaysian time) at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, Bishkek.
