Malaysia’s Men’s single, Lee Zii Jia, passes to the round of in the PERODUA Malaysia Masters 2024 at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
Appearing as the fifth seed, Zii Jia, who played against China’s Zhao Jun Peng in the first round, was shocked by losing 19-21 in the first set.
However, the unified support from the fans present at the Axiata Arena sparked a comeback for Zii Jia who won the next two sets 21-11, 21-14 to advance to the round of 16.
The former Asian champion will face India’s Kiran George for a place in the quarter-finals tomorrow.
Zii Jia is currently on a mission to hunt for his second title this season after winning the Thailand Open in Bangkok, last Sunday.
