Buriram United forward Supachai Jaided has underlined his team’s determination to retain their regional crown as they prepare for their first home match of the Shopee Cup 2025/26 campaign.
“As defending champions, we want to keep the Shopee Cup in Buriram,” Supachai said on the eve of the clash. “Not only this trophy, but also our domestic titles. Tomorrow is our first home game, and we want to start with a win.”
The Thai international acknowledged the challenge ahead, pointing to several familiar faces lining up for the opposition. Selangor FC boast Supachai’s compatriots Picha Autra and Kevin Deeromram, while also featuring his former Buriram teammate Chrigor Moraes.
“I know their quality very well, especially Chrigor,” he admitted. “He’s a dangerous player on the counterattack, so we must be careful. Off the pitch, we’re friends, but on the pitch we’ll give everything.”
With the Thunder Castle faithful set to pack the stands, Supachai believes the home advantage could be crucial in setting the tone for another title run.
“I believe tomorrow will be an exciting match, and with our fans behind us, we can make a strong start.”
