The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has officially confirmed the new date for the postponed ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup 2025/26 group-stage match between Cambodia’s Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC and Thailand’s Bangkok United.
The fixture, originally scheduled for 29 January, was postponed due to diplomatic tensions between the two countries at the time. Under the initial schedule, Bangkok United were set to travel to Cambodia to face Svay Rieng on their home ground.
Following discussions and coordination between the relevant football authorities, the match will now take place on 22 April 2026 at Hàng Đẫy Stadium, Hanoi with kickoff set for 18:30 local time.
The rescheduled encounter could prove decisive in the group standings. Bangkok United currently sit fifth in the group with four points from four matches, leaving them with little margin for error if they hope to keep their qualification hopes alive.
Meanwhile, Svay Rieng hold a stronger position with seven points from four games, putting the Cambodian champions firmly in the race for a place in the knockout stage.
The decision to stage the match in Vietnam as a neutral venue ensures the competition schedule can proceed without further complications while maintaining fairness for both clubs.
