Selangor FC has issued an official statement that decided not to come to Johor for the match of Piala Sumbangsih 2024/25 on 10 May 2024 due to concerns about security.
“Selangor FC has been informed of the MFL’s decision to proceed with the Piala Sumbangsih (Charity Cup 2024) this Friday, May 10, 2024.” Selangor FC said in official statement
“However, following thorough deliberation and consultations across various departments in light of recent incidents, including attacks on players and vehicle vandalism within a span of 72 hours, Selangor FC has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament.”
“Prioritizing the safety and well-being of both teams and staff, Selangor FC condemns all forms of violence unequivocally.”
