Speedy Tigers equalized four minutes later through Muhammad Azrai Aizad who headed in Faizal Saari’s pass to the delight of approximately 4,000 spectators at the stadium.
Muhammad Azrai Aizad, 24, then managed to complete two penalty corners in the 28th and 45th minutes to complete the hat-trick, thus putting Sarjit Singh’s squad 3-1 ahead.
Pakistan under the management of Roelant Oltmans, however, continued to press the national defense to close the gap through Muhammed Sufyan in the 50th minute, while Zikiriya Hayat’s goal three minutes later tied the score at 3-3.
With three minutes left, Shello Silverius scored through a solo run to put the national team back in front, but Muhammed Sufyan’s goal a minute later and Abu Bakar Mahmood’s penalty shot in the 60th minute confirmed the victory for the Green Shirts squad .
Commenting on the defeat, Sarjit said losing focus and being too influenced by the fans’ excitement in the last five minutes caused his men to go home disappointed in tonight’s action.
