Singapore names 24 Players Face Brazil and Paraguay in November
Gavin Lee has named a 24-man squad featuring exciting recalls and a rising Balestier star for the upcoming Mizuho Blue Challenge at the National Stadium, as the Lions prepare to test themselves against global heavyweights.
Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has officially announced a 24-man Singapore national team squad for the upcoming Mizuho Blue Challenge – The Kallang Football Series, which will see the Lions host South American giants Paraguay and five-time World Cup winners Brazil at the National Stadium this November.
Head coach Gavin Lee has injected fresh energy and earned rewards into his squad following impressive domestic performances, headlined by a maiden senior national team call-up for 19-year-old Balestier Khalsa midfielder Woo Chun Wei.
Alongside the teenage prodigy, the squad welcomes back several familiar faces. Hougang United midfielder Saifullah Akbar returns to the fold alongside Geylang International defensive duo Joshua Pereira and Darren Teh, all eager to stake their claim in the national setup.
However, the Lions will be forced to navigate the high-profile friendlies without a few key figures. Defender Nur Adam Abdullah is sidelined for the foreseeable future after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, while forward Ikhsan Fandi misses out through injury. Meanwhile, defender Perry Ng is unavailable due to personal reasons following the birth of his first child.

Singapore will square off against Paraguay on Thursday, 13 November 2026, before locking horns with Brazil on Tuesday, 17 November 2026.
