Malaysia Football League 2023 season and the Piala Sumbangsih Cup will start tomorrow, 24 Feb 2023, where Johor Darul Ta’zim FC will be playing against Terengganu FC at Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Johor.
Both teams show confidence and the mentality of winning the Charity Cup tomorrow. Although the Turtles brought in many new players, the Head Coach Tomislav Steinbruckner said the group would try their best to win and play against the biggest club in Malaysia.
Asking how Sharul Nizam felt when assigned as the team captain for Terengganu FC. “I never thought that I would be selected as the captain. I wasn’t born here in Terengganu, and I don’t think I can be selected for my age. But the decision was made. I will try my best to lead my team.”
“In this season, we have a lot of new players. I would say reforming the team at its best takes time.”, said the captain.
On the other hand, JDT’s defender, Jordi Amat, stated that they have total respect for Terengganu FC as the last year’s final was very tough for them to play.
“We have been training very hard and were trained to play for high level, high level on intensity. Every day is getting better and better.”
“Terengganu FC has brought in a lot of new and quality players into the team. We will try our best to play tomorrow.”
