Philippines national team has appointed Josep Ferre, Spanish head coach age,39 to be the new head coach replacing Thomas Dooley, American head coach after resigned after the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers in June.
Ferre or “Coco” began with stints as academy director of FC Barcelona Escola, Kitchee SC (Hong Kong), and Buriram United (Thailand). and then became head coach of Ratchaburi FC and Bangkok Glass FC in Thai League before moving to FC Bayamón of Puerto Rico. before returning to Asia as an assistant in East Bengal FC in India in 2019-2020.
Ferre will start working with Philippines national team in AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, which Philippines stay in Group B along with Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Brunei DS.
