Penang FC Rest Wan Rohaimi Following Melaka Defeat
Technical Director Victor Andrag takes immediate charge of the Panthers after a disappointing home loss at the City Stadium.
Penang FC management has officially announced that head coach Wan Rohaimi Wan Ismail has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
The drastic decision from the club's top brass was made in the aftermath of the Panthers' 2-1 defeat to Melaka FC in their Super League clash at the City Stadium on Monday afternoon. The disappointing home setback ultimately proved to be the tipping point, prompting a swift restructuring of the coaching staff to salvage the domestic campaign.
In response to Wan Rohaimi's sudden exit, the club confirmed that Penang FC Technical Director Victor Andrag will step down from the executive level to take over the dugout.
Andrag assumes the role of Head Coach effectively immediately. He is now tasked with the immediate challenge of stabilizing the squad, restoring dressing room morale, and rectifying the team's tactical flaws as Penang FC looks to bounce back in their upcoming league fixtures.
