Malaysia’s Muay Thai phenom Johan Ghazali, affectionately known as “Jojo,” extended his dominant run on the global stage today, securing his eighth professional victory at ONE Friday Fights 141.
The 19-year-old star delivered a tactical masterclass at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium, defeating Myanmar’s Ye Yint Naung via unanimous decision after three grueling rounds of Flyweight action.
The opening round saw a uncharacteristically measured approach from both fighters. Jojo and Ye Yint Naung spent the first three minutes testing range and exchanging tentative leg kicks, with neither man willing to overextend early in the contest.
However, the “Jojo” the fans came to see emerged in Round 2. The Malaysian sensation shifted gears, unleashing a relentless barrage of strikes that broke through the Burmese fighter’s guard. The aggression paid dividends as a series of sharp elbows and heavy hands caused significant facial bleeding for Ye Yint Naung, firmly swinging the momentum in Jojo’s favor.
In the final frame, Jojo refused to let up. Dominating the center of the ring, the teenage warrior showcased his superior conditioning by stalking his opponent and landing heavy combinations until the final bell. The judges were left with an easy task, awarding Jojo a clear-cut victory.
