Malaysian Women’s doubles pair, Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan clinched the first victory after beating Japanese pair Mayu Matsumoto-Wakana Nagahara in the Women’s doubles event of badminton at the Olympics 2024 held at Porte de La Chapelle Arena, Paris.
Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan lost to the Japanese pair in a first set 18-21 but struck back to revenge in a straight set scoring 21-15 21-16 in 77 minutes of action.
Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan is scheduled to face the Indonesia team, Rahayu Apriyani-Ramadhanti Siti Fadia Silva, for their third group match on 30 July.
