Malaysian rising star Hakim Danish Ramli produced a breathtaking display of skill, courage, and determination to claim a spectacular victory in Race 2 of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2025 at the iconic Aragon Circuit, Spain.
The 17-year-old from Kuala Terengganu, who finished second in Race 1 the night before, entered the race with burning motivation to finally break his streak of five consecutive runner-up finishes — and he did it in unforgettable fashion.
From the moment the lights went out, the race turned into a high-octane showdown with riders constantly jostling for the lead. Hakim Danish showed his class early, moving to the front by lap seven. However, a slight error cost him dearly as he slipped down to seventh place with just three laps to go.
But Hakim Danish wasn’t done.
With nerves of steel and sheer racing instinct, he launched a relentless charge, overtaking rider after rider with clinical precision and daring racecraft.
The climax came on the final corner of the final lap, where Hakim executed an audacious move that saw him squeeze past his rivals to seize a dramatic and emotional victory — his first of the season.
Spanish rider Brian Uriarte, who had been leading in the final laps, had to settle for second place, while fellow Spaniard David Gonzalez completed the podium in third.
With this win, Hakim Danish extends his lead at the top of the overall standings with 125 points, a commanding 30-point gap over Uriarte in second.
