Manzoor Azwira, head coach of Penang FC admitted he was a bit disappointed despite win over Kelantan FC 4-3 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at Stadium Bandaraya, Pulau Pinang last night
Penang FC had been leading 3-1 at one point but lost the advantage when Kelantan FC got 2 goals and came back to 3-3 in the second half. Before Alif Ikmalrizal, a player from U23 squad come to be heroic scored in the 84th minute and edged 3 points in the home of them.
“That’s something that I find surprising, but we are grateful because the players tried so that in the last 10 minutes we were able to win after a long time without closing our eyes.” Azwira said after the match.
“But it’s also a bit disappointing actually because we conceded three goals that shouldn’t have happened,”
“We have given orders before the match, playing with a team that has a lot of issues, we know that most of those who are in action are young players who always want to take chances to prove their efforts,”
