Cong An Hanoi FC will step back into competitive action for the first time since 18 December when they face Selangor FC following the V.League 1 mid-season break.
Head coach Mano Polking confirmed that his side are nearing full strength ahead of the high-stakes Shopee Cup encounter, despite the absence of several key players involved in international duty.
Winger Nguyen Dinh Bac, defender Pham Ly Duc, and midfielder Pham Minh Phuc have been omitted from the squad due to their participation in the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026, but Polking played down the impact of their absence.
“They’ve just returned to the country and we gave them a few days of rest, as the other players had already rested earlier,” Polking explained.
“Of course, we’ll miss them, but they’ve been away from the team for a long time. The group that has trained together over the past three weeks is fully prepared for this match.”
Polking stressed the importance of securing maximum points as CAHN push for qualification from the group.
“We know this is a very important match. If we really want to qualify, we need three points — that’s our clear target tomorrow. Our focus is completely on that.”
