Malaysia U23 national team, announced the final list squad of 20 players to participate in the Men’s Football SEA Games 2021 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Brad Maloney, Head coach of the Malaysia U23 national team described the decision to select the final list of 20 players as difficult for him because he was satisfied with every player’s commitment while participating in the central training camp.

Meanwhile, the four players below who also flew with the team to Hanoi, Vietnam on 4 May will continue to remain in Vietnam as a ‘Ready List’ to replace any players who had to be dropped if tested positive for COVID-19 during the competition.

For the Group B competition at the 2021 SEA Games, Malaysia will start the campaign against Thailand on 7 May, Laos on 11 May, Singapore on 14 May and Cambodia on 16 May 2022, with all group matches scheduled to take place at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh.
Meanwhile, the Group A competition lined up by the hosts who are also the defending champions, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Timor-Leste is scheduled to take place at the Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho.
The top two teams of each next group will qualify for the semi-finals on May 19 at Thien Truong Stadium and Viet Tri Stadium while the bronze medal match and Final are scheduled to take place on May 22, 2022 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi.
