Selangor FC earned 3 points and secure record unbeaten after winning Terengganu FC scoring 1-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Gong Badak.
The only goal of the match came just 27 seconds into the game, courtesy of Ronnie Fernandez, who capitalized on a quick one-two exchange with Alvin Fortes after a mistake by TFC midfielder Marin Pilj. Fernandez’s early strike was enough to seal the victory and bolster Selangor’s position in second place on the league table.
Despite the early setback, TFC fought back with Akhyar Rashid launching a counterattack in the third minute, though his effort sailed over the crossbar. TFC captain Safawi Rasid came close to equalizing in the 19th minute after receiving a pass from Manuel Ott, but his shot went wide of the mark.
The win lifted Selangor FC to 25 points, cementing their second-place standing, while TFC, suffering their first home defeat of the season, remains in third with 16 points.
