Selangor finally notched their first victory of the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 season, overpowering Brunei’s DPMM FC 3-0 in front of their home supporters on Tuesday night.
Head coach Kashito Kinoshi named Kalamullah Al Hafiz in goal, with Nooa Laine captaining the side and Willian Lira spearheading the attack. DPMM, on the other hand, relied on Indonesian forward Ramadhan Sananta to lead their frontline, while Kristijan Naumovski stood guard in goal.
It took only five minutes for the Red Giants to break the deadlock through new Thai import Kevin Deeromram, who slotted home to put the hosts ahead. DPMM thought they had levelled when Ramadhan Sananta found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
The match was played at a high tempo as both sides chased their first league win of the season. Selangor doubled their advantage later in the first half, with Deeromram again on target to make it 2-0.
DPMM continued to push forward but were repeatedly denied by Selangor’s disciplined defending. The first half ended with the Klang Valley giants firmly in control.
After the restart, Selangor maintained their attacking intent, backed by thousands of passionate home fans. In the 60th minute, Faisal Halim was introduced to inject more firepower. Minutes later, Brazilian striker Chrigor Moraes scored his first goal for the club, sealing a comfortable three-goal cushion.
DPMM responded by bringing on former Harimau Malaya star Syafiq Ahmad, but Selangor remained solid and even threatened to add a fourth late in the game.
The final whistle confirmed a 3-0 win for Selangor — their first three points of the new season.
