Sabah FC earned 3 points in this match after beating Perak FC scoring 4-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium MPM, Manjung.
Due to ongoing upgrades at Perak’s home stadium in Ipoh, the match was held in Manjung. Perak, under the management of Yusri Che Lah, featured Haziq Nadzli in goal, while Sabah fielded national players Stuart Wilkin, Dominic Tan, and Daniel Ting.
Perak took the lead after 30 minutes when captain Luciano Guaycochea calmly converted a penalty, awarded after Sabah goalkeeper Damien Lim fouled Luka Milunovic. However, Sabah responded just nine minutes later, with Korean midfielder Ko Kwang-min blasting in a powerful shot to level the score.
A minute before halftime, Stuart Wilkin put Sabah ahead with a strong strike, giving the visitors a 2-1 lead going into the break.
In the second half, Perak equalized quickly through a close-range header from Clayton in the 49th minute. Despite the early setback, Sabah regained control late in the game, with Joao Pedro scoring in the 83rd minute and Miguel Cifuentes sealing the win in the closing stages.
The match ended 4-2 in favor of Sabah, earning them three crucial points in the league.
