Perak FC earned first point after move home venue after tied with Terengganu FC scoring 2-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium MPM, Manjung.
This resilient performance followed Perak’s recent defeat to Sabah, giving them a crucial boost in front of home supporters.
Perak’s manager, Yusri Che Lah, opted for a reshuffled lineup, with Nur Azfar Fikri and Firdaus Saiyadi starting on the wings and Safwan Mazlan and Shahrul Nizam forming a solid partnership in Terengganu’s central defense.
The action began quickly, with Perak awarded a penalty in the 9th minute. Captain Luka Milunovic stepped up, confidently converting the spot-kick to put the hosts ahead 1-0. Terengganu, determined to equalize, found their chance just before halftime, as Nelson Bonilla headed in a well-placed cross from Manny Ott to make it 1-1.
In the 57th minute, Perak received their second penalty of the night, which Luciano Guaycochea coolly converted, bringing the score to 2-1 and igniting the home crowd.
Terengganu responded with fresh energy, substituting in dynamic wingers Akhyar Rashid and Nik Sharif to boost their attacking play. However, Perak’s disciplined defense held firm until the closing minutes. In added time, Terengganu was awarded a penalty, with Nik Sharif successfully converting to secure a 2-2 draw and salvage a point for the visitors.
