For the fixture, JDT will VS Urawa Red Diamonds in the AFC Champions League 2022 round of 16 on 18 August 2022 while Kedah Darul Aman, Kuala Lumpur City FC play in AFC Cup 2022 Group G at Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, and Group H at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 24-30 June 2022 respectively.

“This decision is also a joint agreement with JDT which supports this amendment to give space to KDA to prepare for the competition.”
“Of course, the MFL will always provide cooperation to teams competing at the highest level such as the ACL and the AFC Cup in ensuring that national club representatives are adequately prepared when competing later,”
