Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan, a Malaysian Women’s pair has ended runner-up Women’s Doubles of the BWF Korea Open 2024 at Mokpo Indoor Stadium, Mokpo.
Despite their efforts, Pearly and Thinaah, ranked ninth in the world, were unable to secure their first title of the season, losing to the South Korean duo Jeong Na Eun and Kim Hye Jeong 0-2 with scores of 12-21, 11-21 in 44 minutes.
In the first set, both pairs played cautiously, but the Korean team managed to pull ahead midway through the set to win 21-12. Pearly and Thinaah attempted to rally in the second set, but Na Eun and Hye Jeong maintained their momentum, widening the score gap and eventually winning 21-11. This victory marked the Korean pair’s first title of the season.
