Kim Pan-Gon, head coach of the Malaysia national team, sees Segrt’s statement as trying to find an excuse before the match, indirectly reflecting how completely he is not confident in his team’s ability to face the Pestabola Merdeka 2023 final tomorrow night.
“Why is he crying (complaining) before the match? This is a bad habit because he gives reasons before the match starts. As a leader, I will not talk like this.” Pan-Gon said in pre-match press conference today.
“We must believe in our players, our team and what we have is the best. The attitude of the players must be at the best level to get the victory.”
“To me, this is a bad attitude when the captain is scared and not sure that they have the best players, so they just wait for luck. It also disrespects the opposing team.”
“I will say that I have the best squad and am confident to give the best performance to the fans,”
