Tan Sri Dr Mohd Daud Bakar, President of Kedah Darul Aman, has addressed recent speculation regarding the club’s future in the Liga Super Malaysia, emphasizing that the viral claims of KDA FC’s exclusion are unfounded.
In an official statement, he reassured the Green and Yellow Sang Kenari faithful that KDA FC has never expressed any intention to withdraw from the league.
“This is not a decision made by KDA FC. In fact, we never submitted any letter suggesting that we want to leave the Malaysian League.”
Dr Mohd Daud Bakar clarified that KDA FC is actively working with the Malaysian Football League (MFL) to meet all Club Licensing requirements within the stipulated timeframe.
“I and the management are always in communication with the league operator to comply with and fulfill all Club Licensing requirements set by MFL’s Club Licensing Body.”
He firmly denied any claims of disbanding the team, asserting that the club is fully committed to remaining in the Super League next season.
The club’s leadership is determined to secure its place in Malaysia’s top division, urging supporters to remain steadfast despite the uncertainty.
“We will continue to fight and strive to remain in the Super League next season. Nothing is in vain when we try and fight. What is in vain is not trying and doing nothing.”
As the team navigates this challenging period, Dr Mohd Daud Bakar called for unity and unwavering support from fans, particularly during the fasting month.
“I pray that we can all observe the fasting period peacefully and always pray for the best for our beloved team that is historic and close to our hearts.”
With the final decision resting in the hands of the authorities, KDA FC remains hopeful and determined to continue its legacy in Malaysian football.
