Kedah Darul Aman has appointed Nafuzi Zain to be the new head coach replacing Aidil Sharin, the Singaporean head coach who resigned before.
Nafuzi Zain was first linked with Kedah Darul Aman before the end of the 2022 season when there was an issue between the management and Nafuzi regarding the extension of the contract with Terengganu FC.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Ab Rasid Jusoh then confirmed that Nafuzi had rejected the offer of a contract extension and that the operator was free to join any team next season.
“The management would like to thank him (Nafuzi) who has dedicated himself for seven years starting with the T-Team President’s Cup squad in 2016 as a coach before becoming the assistant coach of the Terengganu squad and then the head coach from the end of 2019 until this season,” said Rashid.
Nafuzi, age,44 is an ex-player of Kedah FA during 2002-2007 and work with T-Team U21 in 2016 until moving to Terengganu FC position as assistant coach in 2017 and was promoted to head coach in 2019 until this season.
