Singha Chiangrai United has announced the signing of Jordan Emaviwe, a 23-year-old Singaporean utility player, from Balestier Khalsa FC in the Singapore Premier League. Emaviwe will officially join the Thai club for the second leg of the 2024/25 season, marking his first venture into Thai football.
Emaviwe is a 193 cm tall player capable of playing both as a defender and a forward, showcasing his versatility on the field. His adaptability is expected to be a significant advantage for Singha Chiangrai United as they compete in domestic and international tournaments.
Emaviwe began his football journey in 2017 at Castiglione FC, a Serie D club in Italy, while on loan from St. Patrick’s School. His strong performances earned him a move to Chiasso FC, a Swiss second-division team, where he played for three years until 2020.
He returned to Singapore in 2021, signing with Balestier Khalsa FC, where he was loaned out to the Young Lions. During his loan spell, he was selected for Singapore’s U23 national team, further solidifying his reputation as a rising talent.
In 2024, Emaviwe made his debut for the Singapore senior national team during the AFF Championship, earning praise for his performances on the international stage.
Singha Chiangrai United expressed excitement about the signing, highlighting Emaviwe’s potential to strengthen the squad:
“Jordan Emaviwe is a promising player with exceptional versatility. His ability to play across multiple positions will add depth and dynamism to our team.”
