Johor Darul Ta’zimh as officially forged a strategic partnership with global automotive powerhouse UMW Toyota Motor Malaysia, marking a significant milestone for the Southern Tigers both on and off the pitch.
Announced via the club’s official Johor Southern Tigers platform, this collaboration will see Toyota become the Official Mobility Partner of JDT, with the renowned automotive brand proudly displayed on the front of the team’s 2025–26 season jerseys.
“Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT) is proud to announce our strategic partnership with UMW Toyota Motor Malaysia as the Official Mobility Partner of the club, where the Toyota brand will be prominently featured on our 2025–26 season kits,” the club stated.
“Together, we move into the new season with strength and purpose.”
With this announcement, Toyota will replace Socios.com as the main jersey sponsor, taking over the prime front-of-shirt position for the upcoming season.
The news has sparked excitement among JDT supporters, with many drawing parallels to Toyota’s iconic past collaborations—particularly with Spanish giants Valencia CF. Fans also noted the similarities with Serie A club AS Roma, which previously entered a partnership with the global car manufacturer.
