Hanoi FC, a club from Vietnam, has officially announced mutual consent with Božidar Bandović, Montenegrin head coach age 54, after match losing to Urawa Red Diamonds 0-6 in the AFC Champions League 2023/24 Group Stage, Group J in the last Wednesday.
Bandovic, starting to accept the invitation to lead the purple shirt team in January 2023, head coach Božidar Bandović had a smooth start by winning two consecutive championships at the Four Heroes LienViet Postbank Cup 2023 and Vietnam Super Cup 2022.
“Hanoi FC’s Board of Directors decided to part ways with head coach Božidar Bandović two months early after poor results in the 2023/2024 AFC Champions League.” Hanoi FC said in official statement.
“However, a poor performance in the encounter with Pohang Steelers and Urawa Red Diamonds in the 2023/24 AFC Champions League affected the Capital team’s original goal in the most prestigious arena on the continent.”
“According to the latest announcement, assistant Le Duc Tuan will temporarily replace Mr. Bandovic to direct Nguyen Van Quyet and his teammates before the Capital team announces the identity of the new coach as soon as possible.”
