Malaysia national team ended of duty in November after tied India national team scoring 1-1 in the International Friendly Match Tier 1 at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad.
Fresh off a commanding win against Laos, Malaysia looked to build momentum but faced a stern test from India, ranked 125th in the world. Despite limited possession, the Malaysians drew first blood in the 18th minute when striker Paulo Josue capitalized on an error by Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh, slotting the ball home to give Malaysia a 1-0 lead.
India responded swiftly. Their right-back Rahul Bheke equalized in the 38th minute with a towering header from a well-executed corner kick. The first half ended with the scoreline locked at 1-1.
The second half saw India dominate possession with sharp passing and relentless attacking plays. Malaysia’s goalkeeper Syihan Hazmi was instrumental in keeping the hosts at bay, supported by a resolute defense.
Malaysia had their chances, particularly a brilliant scissor kick from substitute Safawi Rasid, which narrowly missed the target. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, the match ended in a stalemate.
