Malaysia national team made a surprise by coming back to tied with Syria national team with a score of 2-2 in the International Friendly ‘A’ Match at East-Town Football Park Stadium, Chengdu.
In this game, the Syrian side had the first chance, and in the 13th minute, when Mohamed Alhallak passed the ball back to Mardik Mardikian, he shot right in. Syria took the lead 1-0.
Syria continued to attack and in the 41st minute, when Mahmoud Al Mawas took a corner kick for Yashin Alshamya to head in, Syria ran away 2-0.
The remaining period there were no additional goals. The first half ended with Syria leading 2-0.
Arriving in the second half in the 51st minute, Malaysia had a counterattack, and Endrick dos Santos launched a long ball for Akhyar Rashid to shoot in. Malaysia trailed 1-2.
Malaysia still had the opportunity to attack continuously and in the 85th minute Darren Lok came to score an important goal. Malaysia tied the score at 2-2.
After that there were no more goals, the game ended with both teams tied 2-2.
