This is a preparation match before participating in UEFA EURO 2024 on 14 June.
Initially, the defense never finds the measures slow and predictable. Even short supports do not have synchronisms. Individual errors favored Hajradinovic’s great opportunity, triggered by a somewhat presumptuous horizontal pass from Calafiori: Donnarumma surpassed himself on the diagonal close to the post.

Then at the end of the first half a more reasoned action from the left: Chiesa’s cross and Frattesi volleys in at the near post, 1-0. Fifth center in blue, fourth with Spalletti: it won’t be easy to take him away on his debut.
A visionary assist from Buongiorno puts him face to face with the Bosnian goalkeeper who performs a miracle and repeats it again against the Atalanta player. It could have been two goals but Scamacca is there, of course, and Chiesa, Cambiaso and Calafiori are growing, always with their heads held high.
Spalletti takes advantage of the changes, with Cristante, Pellegrini, and Dimarco on, followed by Raspadori and Folorunsho on their debut. Having entered badly, Dimarco provides the final thrill with a back pass that triggers Ahmedhozic, but Donnarumma saves the success. But there are too many errors in defense: there is work to be done here.
