Choi Won-Kwon, Interim head coach of Daegu FC has admitted that the team is in a bad situation. after a not good performance in the league competition but will change momentum and make a surprise in a match against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors rival same national in the AFC Champions League 2022 round of 16 in tomorrow.
Choi Won-Kwon, stepped up to be the interim head coach of Daegu FC after Alexandre Gama, the Brazilian head coach decided to resign as head coach after the team did not a good performance in the league.
“We are not in a good situation in the league but we want to change the momentum and that starts with tomorrow,” said the former right-back.
“Jeonbuk are a very strong team and not many teams can defeat them but we have experience beating them and if we can produce our best, we can deliver an amazing result.”
“We cannot change much now but we now have a big match, we spoke with the veteran players. I have been at the club for seven, eight years and told them of our strengths and that we have to show this on the pitch.”
Goalkeeper Oh Seung-hoon said Daegu will have to work as a team if they are to overcome Jeonbuk.
“We are not in a good situation and to overcome this, we must work as a team. Jeonbuk are a tough team but we will prepare well and hope to change our situation.”
AFC Champions League 2022, round of 16(East), between Daegu FC(KOR) vs Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors(KOR) will be played on 18 August at 4.00 pm. at Komaba Stadium, Saitama.
