Cerezo Osaka have confirmed the signing of Dion Cools on a permanent transfer from Thai champions Buriram United, strengthening their defensive ranks with one of Southeast Asia’s most accomplished internationals.
The 28-year-old, who has been a key figure for both club and country, will officially link up with his new team following his international duty with Malaysia for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers. Cools is set to begin his national team commitments on June 5, with his arrival in Osaka scheduled shortly after.
