The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), released termination with Brad Maloney head coach Malaysia U23 national team by a mutual agreement.
It was achieved when Maloney, 50, attended the FAM National Team Management Committee meeting chaired by the FAM President Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya to present the performance report of his team at the two tournaments, the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam last May and the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan, last June.
Maloney thanked FAM for giving him the opportunity and his eight years of service since 2014 which has helped him a lot in improving his coaching career starting as the Malaysia U23 national team assistant coach to Datuk Ong Kim Swee until he was appointed as the U-19 head coach in 2019 before holding the responsibility as the national U-23 head coach.
“Good luck to Maloney in continuing his coaching career and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. His leadership and many contributions during his eight years with FAM will always be remembered. Thank you.” FAM said in an official statement.
