Hafizh Syahrin from JDT Racing Team ended 8th place in the ASB1000 practice round at the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2024, Round 5, at Sepang International Circuit, Sepang.
This marks Hafizh’s first appearance with JDT Racing Team on home soil. Despite facing some technical challenges in the morning session, improvements were made by the second and third practice rounds.
In the combined results of the day’s three practice rounds, Hafizh recorded an average lap time of 2:07.623, trailing the fastest rider, fellow Malaysian Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin from YAMAHA TEKHNE Racing Team ASEAN, by just 0.677 seconds.
The action will continue tomorrow, with a qualifying session in the morning and the first race later in the afternoon.
