Malaysia U17 national team start grabbed 3 points in this tournament after win over Palestine U17 national team with a score of 4-0 in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers, Group B at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor.
The victory could be a boost for Malaysia to look for the opportunity to play in the tournament for the sixth time since it was first contested in 1985.
No goals could be produced in the first half but the next 45 minutes saw a revival displayed by the country’s young players by scoring four goals.
Muhammad Anjasmirza Saharudin opened the scoring for Malaysia in the 50th minute and then Muhamad Faris Danish Mohd Asrul added the second goal when the game entered the 68th minute.
Muhammad Arami Wafiy Mohamad Zakimi and Muhammad Zainurhakimi Zain Azraii completed the stylish victory for the national squad with goals in the 74th and 87th minutes.
After overcoming the challenge of Palestine, the next opponent the young Malaysian players have to face is Guam on October 5 (Wednesday).
The 10 teams that finish as group champions along with the five best group runners-up will be eligible to play in the final stage of the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup.
