Sabah FC, a club from Malaysia kept the first 3 points after beating Hougang United, a club from Singapore with a score of 3-1 in the AFC Cup 2023/24 Group Stage, Group H at Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu.
Kazuma’s goal caused a slight error as Sabah goalkeeper Daimen Lim was seen managing to ward the ball away, but a closer look at the VAR footage revealed that Kazuma’s shot had crossed the goal line slightly.
Previously, Sabah were in front with Gabriel Peres’ header as early as the fifth minute after receiving a pass from Daniel Ting.
Overall, Sabah controlled the game throughout both halves of the match, but the slippery conditions of the field following rain thwarted many of their efforts.
Sabah almost added another goal in the 71st minute when there was a chaotic situation in front of Hougang’s goal, but Park Taesu’s attempt was hit by the goalpost.
