Bangkok United have officially confirmed that they will host the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 semi-final against Gamba Osaka at Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok, on April 15.
The venue switch comes as a necessity rather than choice, with their home ground Pathum Thani Stadium (True BG Stadium), unavailable on the same date.
The stadium is scheduled to host the semi-finals of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026. Despite efforts to reach a compromise, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) did not approve any adjustments to the schedule.
As a result, Bangkok United were compelled to secure an alternative venue for one of the most important matches in their history.
The move to Rajamangala National Stadium — Thailand’s largest football arena — could transform the tie into a high-profile spectacle, with the potential for a significantly larger crowd and electrifying atmosphere.
For Bangkok United, this presents an opportunity to leverage home support on a larger scale as they face a strong Japanese opponent, Gamba Osaka.
