Tunku Ismail Idris Abdul Majid Abu Bakar Iskandar ibni Sultan Ibrahim (TMJ), owner of Johor Darul Ta’Zim urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) or other football club owners to examine the finances of the club Johor Darul Ta’Zim.
TMJ said this after there was an allegation by one of the users of the social media site Twitter who claimed that there was a contractor who paid the salaries of JDT players.
“Alhamdulillah, I have been welcoming questions like this for a long time. First, I don’t feel anything because nothing good has been said about JDT for 11 years in the football industry. We at JDT are used to this kind of thing.” TMJ said in Twitter.
“Regarding the accusation that says “contractors who pay the players’ salaries”, I call on the MACC or any interested football club owner, to come in person to check & audit JDT’s finances including sources of income and expenses.”
“JDT money comes from sponsors, as well as my own money and that of His Majesty the Sultan of Johor. This is not money from the Menteri Besar or government money. What about your club?”
