Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said in a statement that 2 players Vietnam national team, Nguyen Hoang Duc and Nguyen Van Toan, had tested positive for COVID-19. during stay in training camp for 2022 World Cup qualifiers Asia 3rd round and must be quarantined at home for observation.
Both players have tested positive for COVID-19 since 6 January, and their RT-PCR test today (11 Jan) have tested negative. However, the VFF said the two were not showing any signs of illness. Because both players and everyone in the team just received the 3rd dose vaccination.
In addition, VFF also revealed that Vietnam women’s national football team squad for preparing to compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 in India. In late january have 4 players in the team and 1 team doctor tested positive for COVID-19, all five of whom have been quarantined as well
