The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today announced the appointment of Noor Azman Hj Rahman as its new secretary general effective 1 September 2022 to fill the vacancy left by Mohd Saifuddin Abu Bakar.
On August 23, the FAM Executive Committee at the second special meeting for the 2021-2025 term accepted Mohd Saifuddin’s resignation because he wanted to focus his career on the international level.
Noor Azman, 55, is currently serving as FAM President Coordinator since 2018 when Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin was elected as FAM President.
Previously, Noor Azman was elected as the Vice President of the Melaka Football Association (MUSA) in 2012 before he was appointed as the Secretary General of MUSA for three years from 2015 to 2018.
In the MUSA election for the term 2020-2023, Noor Azman was once again elected as one of the Vice Presidents of MUSA.
In addition to his extensive experience with MUSA and his duties as FAM President Coordinator, he has also been involved with several FAM standing committees, including as a FAM Media Committee Member (2010-2013), a FAM Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Member (2014-2018) and a Committee Member FAM competition (2018-2019).
In team management, Noor Azman has been the manager of the Melaka FAM League team in 2013, the assistant manager of the Melaka FAM League team in 2014 and the assistant manager of the national futsal team from 2014 to 2017.
