Terengganu FC, continued their winning streak after winning Selangor FC, with a score of 2-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2022 at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Gong Badak.
The action in Kuala Terengganu saw Faisal open the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute following his exciting solo move in the penalty area to overcome the Selangor defense and then release a toss that beat the goalkeeper, Khairulazhan Khalid.
Selangor tried to bounce back in the second half but the pressure from Terengganu saw them give the hosts a penalty kick.
Following a quick movement, Kipre rushed towards Selangor’s goal until Yazan Al-Arab had to make a tackle that dropped him before the Ivory Coast-born player easily completed the penalty kick in the 60th minute.
Terengganu will next await the visit of Negeri Sembilan FC for the first round match of the FA Cup while Selangor will continue the league action against Sri Pahang FC on the same day.
