Malaysian Football League(MFL), punished Perak FC, club in Liga Premier Malaysia deducted 6 points due for failing to pay the remaining salary arrears of players and officials of the main team and reserve team since November 2021 not follow deadline date 14 April.
Apart from that, the Perak FC management has not yet made a payment or a joint settlement agreement for the postponement of the payment of outstanding salaries of Perak FC players and officials in 2022.
Sheikh Mohd Nasir, chaired the MFL Club Licensing FIB Meeting, said Perak FC still failed to settle the salary arrears on 14 April 2022 even though the Liga Premier Malaysia had been given the first 3 points deduction on 1 April 2022 after failing to do so on 31 March 2022.
“The FIB meeting decided to implement a six -point deduction for the 2022 Premier League competition following Perak FC’s failure to pay the salary arrears of players and officials by the deadline yesterday. The decision also takes into account Perak FC’s failure to submit proof of payment or a joint settlement agreement for the deferral of payment of arrears.” Sheikh Mohd Nasir, chaired the MFL Club Licensing FIB Meeting, said on official statemenr.
“If within 7 days from the date the second sentence is made and proof of full payment or mutual settlement agreement is still not submitted to MFL on or before 21 April 2022, then on 22 April 2022, this matter will be brought to the FIB Committee and MFL Board of Directors for next action,”
“Until now, FIB has not received any documentation from Perak FC to convince FIB on Perak FC’s ability to resolve the salary arrears of 2021 and 2022 as well as the club’s financial position in facing the rest of the league competition for the 2022 season,”
