Aung Kaung Mann, striker Myanmar national team has left from Kelantan Darul Naim and move to join with Phrae United, a club in Thai League 2 for the second leg of the season 2024/25.
Aung Kaung Mann’s time at KDN FC was brief, having joined the Malaysian side during the second transfer window in September 2024. Despite showing potential, the striker decided to part ways with the club after 31 December 2024, opting for a move back to Thailand, where he has previously enjoyed success.
The 25-year-old’s professional journey began in 2018 when he earned a senior contract with Myanmar’s Ayeyawady FC. His exceptional performances caught the eye of scouts and earned him a move to Thailand, where he helped Khon Kaen United secure promotion to Thai League 1 in 2020 by winning the Thai League 2 play-offs.
Aung’s career has since seen him play for a string of prominent clubs, including: Chonburi FC (2022/23 season), Nakhonratchasima Mazda FC (2023/24 season) and a brief return to Malaysia with Kelantan Darul Naim in 2024.
The move to Phrae United marks another chapter in his dynamic career, as he seeks to make an impact in one of Thailand’s top-performing second-tier teams.
Phrae United has emerged as a strong contender for promotion to Thai League 1. The club currently sits atop the Thai League 2 standings, boasting an impressive 38 points from 17 matches. With Aung Kaung Mann’s addition to their squad, the team bolsters its attacking options, which could prove crucial in maintaining their position and securing a historic promotion.
