Perlis United is the 8th rank club in Liga M3 season 2023, and in this season them revealed club received a sponsorship of around RM25 Million.
The decision was made after the MFL Board of Directors heard the PUFC’s application through a recommendation from the First Instance Body (FIB) which had made a careful review and evaluation of the documents submitted by the Liga M3 club.
In addition to PUFC, also submitting an application are Imigresen FC, KL Rovers FC and Harini Selangor FT to fill the 14th slot after the MFL Club Licensing Appeal Committee (AB) rejected Kelantan FC’s application for a National License to compete in the 2024-2025 Super League.

In addition, the club also submitted a letter of support from the Perlis state government signed by the Menteri Besar, YAB Tn Mohd Shukri Ramli as well as a letter of support from the Perlis Football Association (PFA).
However, the MFL Board of Directors decided that the Perlis United will only be granted an Extraordinary Conditional License by complying with a number of requirements and criteria set by the FIB following the promises and assurances given to the FIB by the PUFC officials during their presentation.
MFL has communicated the terms to Perlis United and is now awaiting their sponsorship documentation and proof of funds.
In other developments, the FIB has given a final deadline to Kedah Darul Aman and Kuala Lumpur City to complete the payment of salary arrears to their players and officials in stages.
KDA FC and KL City are directed to make the first payment of 50% on or before March 15, 2024 and full settlement on or before March 29, 2024.
Failure to make the payment as per the set date will result in the two Super League clubs being subject to player transfer restrictions along with fines or face the penalty of having their National License revoked by the FIB.
