Saudi Arabia national team, back to clinch first 3 points after beating Oman national team scoring 2-1 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group F at Khalifa International Stadium.
In this match, in the beginning game, Saudi Arabia is the advantage side and open attack to Oman.
But in the 14th minute, Oman awarded a penalty after Hassan Al Tambakti conceded a foul to Muhsen Al Ghassani, and the referee decision penalty after checking VAR, and Salaah Al Yahyaei converted the penalty to the goal, Oman led 1-0.
Continuing the action in the second half, both teams pushed each other but Saudi Arabia dominated the game.
Several changes were made by the Saudi manager, Roberto Mancini in an effort to find the team’s first goal. The inclusion of Abdulrahman Ghareeb finally paid off when the substitute registered his name as a scorer.
In the 78th minute of the game, Abdulrahman Ghareeb managed to pass the control of the Omani defense before brilliantly releasing a shot that beat the Oman goalkeeper, Ibrahim Mukhaini, Saudi Arabia equalizing 1-1.
Before the match ended, Saudi Arabia scored a second goal through Ali Al Bulayhi’s header in stoppage time in the 90+6th minute. Ali Al Bulayhi beautifully grabbed the corner kick for the winning goal.
Saudi Arabia successfully bounced back, defeating Oman with a 2-1 result.
